Three Cuts Distillers Release
The Turner Stillhouse in Northern Tasmania is co-located on a winery and they use grapes from the local area to create their base spirit which gives all their gins a distinctly smooth taste.
When visiting the Tamar Valley in Tasmania you’d normally seek out wineries that are becoming famous around the world for their incredible sparkling wines – some of which are beating French Champagne houses in international wine shows. Meanwhile, we think, Turner Stillhouse is up there in the top couple of places that we’d recommend visiting on any trip to northern Tasmania.
The name three cuts refers to the cuttings of roses that are used in the production of all their gins. While rosehip and rose petals can be found in gins around the world, it’s uncommon to find it used in this amount as with their gins. The Distillers Release gin has a lingering Cardamom flavour that we just love.
Due to COVID isolations of the Box Bar team in March and April, the interview with Justin Turner from Turner Stillhouse has been delayed and the video will be available shortly.
